Description

in my area are many lime stone quarries which occupy vast amounts of land, but they are currently not rendered by mapnik (nor osmarenderer) which leaves unpicturesque white spaces on the map.

key: landuse value: quarry applies to areas and nodes

in analog (german) maps that i know quarries are shown as a white area with a structure similar to a brick wall.

This is not a mapnik problem, it's an OpenStreetMap? problem.

Please report it in the OpenStreetMap? trac (separate tickets for mapnik and osmarender please).
