Description

On the map on OpenStreetMap?.org, I see some broken antialiasing going on in some tiles, seemingly randomly. This causes "Stairs" that makes the lines extremely blurry (as opposed to soft) or outright jagged, depending on the screen resolution.

It's been suggested to me that this is likely happening in AGG, so setting component to that. Apologies if this is incorrect. Unfortunately I don't know which version of mapnik is running on the OSM servers.

Attached a screenshot of an area where this happens, and a zoomed-in part. As of right now this is visible at http://osm.org/go/0H3oqvrE but that is of course likely to change.

The same thing happens with mod_tile generating semi-transparent tiles on default setup. A temporary workaround for me was to save png's not as "png256" but as "png".
